Britney Spears hasn’t let her residency in Las Vegas stop her from getting in the studio and working on new music. She and Bay Area hip-hop producer DJ Mustard worked on songs back in July, and apparently that collaboration is close to seeing the light of day.
Mustard did a Twitter Q&A last night (Nov. 16). A fan asked if the Britney song would be dropping soon and Mustard replied with a simple, “Yep.”

Not only has Spears been working with the “2 On” producer, she’s been in the studio with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who are the songwriting duo behind Selena Gomez’s hit “Good For You.” Spears has also logged studio time with Simon Wilcox.
Britney’s upcoming ninth album is shaping up to be a hybrid of hip-hop and pop sounds, based on the producers she’s worked with. Check DJ Mustard’s tweet below.
