DJ Mustard is sick of people jacking his sound, and getting rich doing it.
Back when Iggy Azalea released “Fancy” the producer expressed his surprise and hurt at the Australian rapper using his signature sound.
“At first I was like, ‘Yeah, you trippin,’” Mustard told Elliot Wilson “I know Iggy. We know her. She used to be chillin’ with me, [Ty Dolla $ign], YG. She used to be chillin’ with us. She knows the sound. She knows how hard we was working to make that sound and for you to go to somebody else or for you to do whatever you did, whatever they did and just be like, ‘Oh this is new and I don’t know why Mustard dissed…’ No. You know why.”

Recently more fuel was added to the fire with the speculation as to whether Jidenna’s hit song “Classic Man” samples “Fancy.” According to Jidenna, and his Wonderland crew that is not the case.
The West Coast producer took to twitter last night and expressed his displeasure with the entire situation, in a now-deleted rant.
“Fancy was a rip off … Classic mans a rip off … Str8 up !” “This is a west coast sound people from la all the way to the bay … I’m just one of the ones keeping it alive .”
